Lingnan’s debate teams shine at inter-tertiary debate contests

Two Lingnan debate teams demonstrated remarkable performances in competitions for local tertiary students.

 

Our Chinese Debate Team grasped the 2nd runner-up and the Best Debater of the Match in the 19th Basic Law Debate Competition for Tertiary Students in Hong Kong organised by the Joint Committee for the Promotion of The Basic Law of Hong Kong held from August to September 2017.  The competition was participated by 16 teams and 12 of which came from various local tertiary institutions and universities.

  • Second Debater: Hugo Chak Long-yin (Social Sciences Year 2)

    Besides, our Putonghua Debate Team also won the 1st runner-up in the Joint-Universities Putonghua Debate Competition 2017 organised by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) with their outstanding performance.  It was the best ever result for the team in this competition.
