Delegation of entrepreneurs from Jiangsu visits Lingnan University

About 20 entrepreneurs participated in the Jiangsu Youth Entrepreneurs Belt and Road Initiative International (Hong Kong and Macao) Training Programme, organised by Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce (Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce), Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province and Sunwah Onshine Education Group which is a subsidiary of Sun Wah Group of Hong Kong, visited Lingnan University on 7 June.  The visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between Jiangsu and Hong Kong, and enhance mutual understanding of the industrial and commercial sectors of the two places, especially development in nurturing of talents.  The delegation was joined by entrepreneurs from construction, information technology, automotive manufacturing, textiles, environmental protection, finance and engineering sectors.

 

Apart from visiting major campus facilities and learning about the latest development of Lingnan’s liberal arts education, the delegation also met with Prof Ivy Yang, Associate Director of Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies and Director of Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative, Prof Eric See-To, Research Assistant Professor of Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, Dr Helen Han, Senior Lecturer of Department of Accountancy and colleagues from the career development team of Student Services Centre and Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs.  Views on the operation of private enterprises, economic development in Hong Kong, development opportunities of the Belt and Road initiative and the Greater Bay Area, and acquisition and cultivation of quality talents had been shared.
