President Prof Leonard Cheng (5th left, back row), Prof Lisa Leung Yuk-ming, Chairperson of the Lingnan University Equal Opportunities Committee (4th left, back row), and other guests participated in the kick-off ceremony of Lingnan University’s 3rd Equal Opportunities Awareness Campaign.

Lingnan University’s 3rd Equal Opportunities Awareness Campaign was kicked off today (7 March) at the Skylight Plaza on the University campus.

The 3rd Equal Opportunities Awareness Campaign, organised by the Lingnan University Equal Opportunities Committee from 6 to 17 March, aims to arouse the awareness of staff and students on equal opportunities and social inclusion as an intrinsic value of Lingnan’s liberal arts education. With the theme “Respect for Diversity”, this year’s campaign encourages staff and students to appreciate and respect for diversity and differences.

At today’s kick-off ceremony, exciting performances including dance, sign language song and iPad band show by different groups were staged, and a number of exhibition booths were featured. In more than a week to come, the Campaign will feature a series of events including an art exhibition by an ethnic minority student on wheelchair, a number of workshops and talks, sharing forum and community service activities.
