Leading international scholars join Lingnan’s research platform on higher education

To provide a platform for international research on higher education policy and governance with particular focus on the Asia Pacific region and Asia-Europe comparison, the “Inter-university Research Consortium for Higher Education” was launched in October last year at Lingnan University.  The Research Consortium attracts leading academics and researchers in the field of higher education policy and governance from the USA, UK and Asia to join international research projects.

Recently, Prof Susan Robertson, Professor of Education from University of Cambridge and Prof Roger Dale, Professor of Education from University of Bristol in the UK have joined the Research Consortium as our research partners.  In late June, Prof Robertson and Prof Dale visited Lingnan, offering insightful lectures and workshops for participants of the “International Postgraduate Summer School” co-hosted by Lingnan University and University of Oxford, with co-organisers namely Peking University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, South China University of Technology in China and National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan.

During their visit, Prof Robertson and Prof Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Vice-President of Lingnan University, explored future collaborations like co-hosting annual Cambridge-Lingnan Research Symposium and student exchange for Doctor of Philosophy to promote international research collaboration and student learning.
