Description
What does phycial theatre have to do with Shakespeare? Taking Shakespeare's classic Titus Andronicus as example, renownws theatre actor Andy Ng will share with you what you need to know to appreciate this Shakespearean classic from a wider perspective.

Andy NG Wai-shek
Ng gained his MA degree in East/West Theatre Studies at the Middlesex University, UK., and further his studies to joined the Theatre Training and Research Programme (now as Intercultural Theatre Institute, ITI) of the Practice Performing Arts School in Singapore. He gained diverse theatre training ranging from Asian traditional theatrical forms to Western contemporary skills. Such background provides him the ability and adaptability to work with conventional, physical and experimental styles of creative works. He also involved in a lot of multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural projects, performing or giving acting workshops in different cities such as Taipei, Tokyo, Yokohama, Beijing, Seoul, Gwangju, New Delhi, London, Berlin and Neuss. He was a founder of Traditions & Editions Theatre Circus (Singapore) and Acting Research Center (Hong Kong). For the latter one, he focused on the action research into performing techniques, aesthetic, synthesis, application and to develop a "Psycho-physical acting training" system for acting teaching.

摘要

形體劇場和莎士比亞有何關係?以莎士比亞的《泰特斯》為例,著名舞台劇演員吳偉碩 (梵谷) 將會和大家分享,怎樣從一個更闊更廣的角度去欣賞這齣經典莎劇。

講者

吳偉碩(梵谷)於大專新聞系畢業,後往倫敦攻讀東西方戲劇碩士課程。再赴新加坡入讀由郭寶崑創辦之「劇場訓練與研究課程」,接受東西方多種傳統和當代表演體系之訓練。回港後,全身投入舞台表演。以其獨豎一幟的創造力和表演能力,與不同類型導演及藝術工作者合作,參與不同類型、不同風格和跨媒界的演出項目。亦曾遠赴北京、台北、台南、高雄、新加圾、首爾、光洲、東京、大板、新德里、倫敦、柏林及諾伊斯等亞洲和歐洲多個城市演出或參與創作交流和教學工作。除了是新加坡「外傳統游藝團」創團成員外,亦於香港成立表演研究中心,進行表演理論,技法、美學的研究,融合和應用,並把研究結果變成「身心表演訓練」系統的教育內容。
