Introduction:
Gerontechnology, the use of technology to improve the quality of life of older adults and carer support, plays a crucial role in addressing this challenge. This symposium aims to share practical experiences and examine how gerontechnology relates to designing for the future of an ageing society, to provide future directions.


The presentations in this symposium will provide an overview of gerontechnology development and usercentered design principles, which feature experts from academia, NGOs, and industry sharing their experiences and best practices in gerontechnology development, implementation, and evaluation.

Objectives:

  • To discuss the importance of user-centered design in gerontechnology development and implementation.
  • To share best practices in conducting user feedback and evaluation in the local context.
  • To foster collaboration and partnerships between industry, academia, and NGOs in the gerontechnology field.
