Lingnan University shines in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, showcasing our continued excellence in Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business. The academic subjects and research areas that stand out are:
Social Policy and Administration, now ranked 2nd in Hong Kong, 4th in the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, and 9th in Asia
Philosophy, placed 3rd in Hong Kong and 12th in the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
Economics and Econometrics, which has made a considerable leap forward
The QS World University Rankings by Subject is a globally recognised benchmark for higher education institutions. It provides an independent comparative analysis of the performance of over 19,100 individual academic programs offered by 1,559 universities across the globe. Five key performance indicators, Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Paper, H-index (measuring both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar), and International Research Network (by broad-faculty area), are evaluated.
