The Lingnan University Forum, "The New Era of Data Science and AI: Challenges and Opportunities for School Graduates", was successfully held on 26 and 27 March. The forum brought together high school principals and counsellors from nine countries/regions, including Mainland China, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Thailand, and Vietnam. A total of 33 high schools participated, further enhancing the forum's global reach.
Prof S. Joe Qin, President and Wai Kee Kau Chair Professor of Data Science of Lingnan University, delivered a welcome speech and a keynote speech on the forum's topic. Representatives from various faculties, programmes and units introduced their respective developments and achievements to the participants.
This two-day forum provided them with a unique opportunity to explore the distinctive liberal arts education offered by Lingnan and strengthened the University's connections with reputable high schools in Asia.
